Having worked her way up the corporate ladder to Director of Marketing at Microsoft Advertising, Katy’s role was made redundant after maternity leave. This was her tipping point, and having suffered silently from Fibromyalgia for years, she knew that her work life balance needed to shift. Flexible working options for senior women in business at that time were lacking and she became frustrated that she was unable to continue the career that she loved, on flexible terms. Realising that she was not alone, she began a journey championing the cause for the many other people just like her.
In 2018 she set up a Facebook Group which has fast grown grown to a powerful community of c.50K people. Through this group, people are making life changes, and inspiring others to do the same. They not only share their stories and find support and advice from one another, but have access to a space where real flexible roles are posted daily.
Katy is today a well-known and influential spokesperson, promoting flexible working and gender equality in the workplace. She’s been invited to speak at a number of high profile events and regularly contributes in the media. Read Katy’s full profile on Linkedin
