Our Client

Our client is an independent Jersey administrator, working closely with a fast-growing London-based scale-up fintech.

They are currently seeking an experienced AML Administrator to provide AML support to their client and their regulated fund clients.

The Role

As Administrator you will provide AML support to our clients London-based fintech client and their regulated fund clients. You’ll work closely with the Head of Compliance in delivering a robust AML/CFT programme and a portfolio of regulated client entities.

The core duties of the role include:

To handle client onboarding relationships effectively & autonomously through the management of AML processes including due diligence on new and existing investors (CDD reviews), interpreting complex structures, and assisting with Client reviews.
Be responsible for executing background checks and searches/client profiling, carrying out ad-hoc World checks and Open-Source searches as requested.
Provision of support and guidance to our client, and their clients, on applicable regulatory and AML issues and business-related AML queries.
Ongoing analysis of the effectiveness and adequacy of AML solutions provided by our client, assisting with the identification of failures and to identify causes and remedial actions.
Assist with the maintenance and updates to AML Compliance & Risk Registers (including Issues, and Politically Exposed Persons/High profile clients) ensuring events are recorded, monitored, and reported to Senior Management where necessary.

In particular you will have:

Previous experience in an AML role.
A diploma level professional Compliance Qualification.
A genuine desire to work in compliance and a passion for AML matters.
A strong background and understanding of financial services.
Strong administrative, analytical, and organisational skills.
Good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
The ability to take ownership of matters and work independently, where required.
An inquisitive mindset and the ability to think through issues and draw out implications and recommendations.
A positive attitude and a preference for working collaboratively as part of a team.
Terms

This is a full-time (although part time candidates may be considered) role offered on a freelance basis, on an initial three month agreement, with potential to move to permanent (if desired) for the right candidate.
A salary of £40k fte is on offer on a freelance basis.
The role is fully remote with an option to use of a London office for hybrid working if desired.
There will be an initial Jersey-based onboarding for the role and a requirement to visit Jersey at least once a quarter.
