Bookkeeper/Financial officer

A boutique property group is seeking an experienced and qualified bookkeeper. The group owns a residential and commercial portfolio of properties as well as ongoing residential developments.

Job description:
Manage the group accounts and its subsidiaries, bank accounts, updating cash flow, summarise and create management accounts.

This will be a ‘starting from scratch’ role and therefore requires someone that knows what the end result should look like, can create a system and manage it going forward.

Frequent contact with accountants supplying them with information in a ‘ready to go’ format and answering any of their queries.

File monthly or quarterly VAT.

Oversee filing of invoices, receipts and requesting them where necessary.

Keep track of rental income, liaising with managing agents and assuring the numbers match the monthly income expectations.

Create and monitor cash flow of all SPVs, assuring all monthly bank payments are settled on its due dates and liaising with lenders on a regular basis.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience with managing numerous SPV companies and bank accounts, many of which interlink and as such being able to keep track of all incomings and outgoings. Ideally this experience would come from the property industry. This will be a full time role, possibly with one day working from home.

Required Skills:
– Proficient in excel and able to use formulas such as vlookup, sumif etc
– Great communicator with a ‘get stuck in’ attitude
– Confident in using your own initiative
– Preferably experience with Quickbooks/Xero or similar
– Previous bookkeeping experience
– Preferably previous property industry experience
