Company Love Public Speaking

Love Public Speaking is a small and fast-growing presentation skills training company based in London.  Our founder spent many years tackling her own fear of public speaking before launching the company in 2016.  In 2021, she was recognised at Management Today’s Women in Business Awards as one of the “35 Women Under 35” rising stars in British business.  Love Public Speaking now serves individuals, schools and businesses all over the world helping people find confidence in speaking up through our wide range of courses, delivered by our wonderful team of trainers.

This role will be at the core of our team as we scale up the business. Working to sales targets, you will be the first person to become our sales lead for the business, with the potential to manage other sales staff in future as the business grows and as your role grows with it.

As we are a presentation skills training company, you will need exemplary presentation skills for pitching training courses to HR business partners in corporate companies.  You will have a strong track record of making sales from previous years’ work experience and be capable of generating your own B2B leads through LinkedIn outreach.

Our culture is very important to us and positivity, kindness and exceptional customer care are at the heart of what we do.  You will be representing our company, therefore we are looking for someone who cares about our mission of helping people all over the world build their speaking confidence.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Finding new corporate clients through LinkedIn outreach and pitching them training courses using a consultative approach
  • Creating your own sales strategy to deliver revenue targets and managing your sales pipeline using our CRM
  • Leading pitch meetings where you present courses via a PowerPoint presentation – mostly virtual, with the occasional in-person pitch meeting in London
  • Writing and editing training programme proposals, including writing descriptions for bespoke courses requested by clients
  • Organising and delivering ‘live launch’ webinars on social media to pick up new corporate clients
  • Spotting opportunities to upsell and cross sell training courses that fit in with the organisation’s learning and development strategy
  • Working closely with trainers – choosing the right trainer for the job and briefing them ahead of the training
  • Ensuring a high quality end-to-end experience for corporate clients

  • A demonstrable track record of being successful in B2B sales
  • The ability to communicate confidently with senior decision makers and lead conference calls with HR Business Partners
  • Excellent presentation and pitching skills
  • An interest in L&D, communication skills training and psychology
  • Excellent copywriting skills to be able to edit proposals / write course descriptions

  • Knowledge of how learning and development departments work within corporate companies
  • Easy access to London in case London-based clients request an in-person meeting

The person we are looking for is…

  • A self-starter who enjoys working to sales targets and is hungry to progress their career
  • Entrepreneurial approach with a growth mindset
  • Warm and positive personality

What you’ll get:

  • Flexible hours – choose to work 9 – 5.30 / 8 – 4.30pm / 10 – 6.30pm
  • Access to a large library of videos (training course ‘taster’ videos) and course brochures to help you sell
  • Training on our range of courses
  • You will be an early member of our fast-growing team, helping shape the business as we grow
