Touchstone is a Business Growth consultancy. We are a team of professional business development experts working together to help our clients win new business. All work is B2B and relies on telephone outreach.

We work remotely, meeting up daily at 8.50am on a Teams call and face to face every few months in Hemel Hempstead or Watford (Hertfordshire) – maintaining the culture of our business is very important. We are looking for a bright, articulate person with a background in business and/or sales and proven experience in generating new business and building relationships at a senior level.

This is a mainly working from home position with in person meetings approximately every 6-8 weeks in Hertfordshire/ Central London, so you will need to be within easy travel distance. We provide ongoing help and support to ensure success for you and our clients.

Client sectors include research, technology, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, engineering, finance, education, and facilities management.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • Highly motivated, intelligent, organised, professional, warm, curious, tenacious, and articulate with a flexible approach to work; very best communication skills; confident talking with decision makers at all levels of seniority; happy to learn new skills and take direction.
  • IT literate with fast accurate typing
  • Able to wear different hats -our work is varied in terms of the sectors and decision makers you will be approaching.
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to write clear, grammatically accurate and succinct notes.

Job Specifications/role

  • Build and develop relationships using the telephone and make meetings for our clients; all work is B2B, cold calling with a clear proposition, market sectors are varied.
  • Get involved in business conversations with prospects, find out valuable marketing intelligence that will benefit our clients.
  • Working as part of a team – sharing ideas and liaising with your colleagues
  • Working within our CRM to update client databases – ensuring your calls are up to date.
  • Managing your time to ensure clients get their allocated hours each week.
  • Using LinkedIn and desk research to identify decision makers.

Minimum hours: Monday to Friday, 8.45am to 2.30/3pm
4 weeks holiday plus bank holidays; we close for approx. 10-14 days over Christmas/New Year – any working days during this period do not come out of the 20 days

Salary: £38,000 + bonuses, FTE
