PubAid was set up in 2009 to counter the negative comment in the press and on TV that basically was blaming pubs for a lot of the social problems at the time.

It is run by a group of senior executives from across the pub and brewing industry all of whom give their time voluntarily. We have a PR professional who manages the PR, Communications, and website.

Research carried out for PubAid has shown that pubs raise over £100m a year for charity and invest over £40m in grassroots sports.

The current PubAid mission and messaging that is used is – “to celebrate pubs as a force for good in their communities” A new website was launched in 2021 see – https://www.pubaid.co.uk/

We are keen to optimise the opportunity through the website.

Role

We are looking for someone to work alongside our external PR agency and will focus solely on this area. We see the opportunities being:

1. Maximising the use of digital channels

  • Building our backlinks
  • Research keywords that will result in better SEO
  • Blogs that will drive traffic to our site.

2. Develop Content Strategy

3. Drive Return Visits

Candidate

The role is based remotely and is flexible in terms of hours, we expect that up to 5 hours per week will be sufficient. The rate of pay will be £25 per hour.

The role will suit someone who has a goal-driven passion for growing website traffic and likes a challenge. They would need a very good understanding of website management and has experience of Search Engine Optimisation with a track record of delivery.

Experience of working in a PR environment would be beneficial.

The person will need to propose and agree with the external PR Manager and the PubAid co-founder Des O’Flanagan what actions will be required to deliver the objectives.
