EDF LAUNCHES RETURN TO WORK PROGRAMME IN PARTNERSHIP WITH INCLUSIVITY

HOW THE RETURNER PROGRAMME WORKS:

EDF has partnered with Inclusivity to create a programme that will help you get back up to speed in a friendly and welcoming environment. Applications are now open.

The programme provides six month paid opportunities for Returners and are available on a 4 or 5 day a week basis. These opportunities will allow you to put to use your past career expertise and to bring yourself back up to speed with the current market. You will be paid at the full market rate for the opportunity you are offered. During your six month programme you will be provided with 3 one-to-one Coaching sessions as well as pre-commencement training support from Inclusivity. The programme commences in September 2022.

Whilst there is no guarantee, it is the goal of the programme that you will be able to secure a permanent position at the end of the six months.

LOCATION / WORK PATTERN

EDF has offices across the UK and embraces a flexible hybrid working culture. The roles on offer have teams based in either London or Hove so the ability to attend meetings in one of these locations is required. At present teams are working predominately home based with up to 4 days per month in the offices.

EDF has three Senior Commercial Analyst positions on offer, two of which can hire two people, and also have one other opportunity for a Procurement professional to join them.

SENIOR COMMERCIAL ANALYST X 2

This returner opportunity sits within the EDF Customers team. Your role will be Helping Britain Achieve Net Zero and help EDF become a leading player in each of the four markets they operate in – Wholesale, Residential and SME, I&C and Field Services.

The Opportunity As a Senior Commercial Analyst reporting into the Planning & Strategy Manager, you will work across the Business Development team to enable EDF’s competitive position in Zero Carbon Heat. In this role you will demonstrate balancing short-term profit and longer-term value across all the sales channels in Zero Carbon Heat. Your contributions are key to ensuring EDF both remains competitive and delivers against customers’ needs and shareholders expectations and you will always look for new opportunities to add value. Day to day, you will work collaboratively within the Commercial team as well as with the wider Zero Carbon Heat team. You will provide robust analysis and reporting to support decision making on having the right products, campaigns and pricing to meet targets and customers’ needs. You’ll support the development of strategy and KPIs keeping them up to date with any Policy and Regulation changes, always looking for opportunities to add value. You will gather and summarise Competitor Insights and share a clear understanding of Market changes or opportunities. This will include activity to maximise margin in both the short and long term and support the design and operation of a forecast process that underpins Marketing activity, Finance forecasts and business risk. Next to this, you will be creating a view of performance and value by channel so we can prioritise spend and activity to deliver the most value for EDF. Being a Senior Commercial Analyst at EDF means, you will have gained, prior to your career break, strong commercial and analytical skills to seek out commercial opportunities in complex analysis together with, experience creating clear and simple presentations that will inform exec-level decision making whilst keeping in mind both the detailed analysis and the strategic direction. You will have the skills to lead the development, review & testing of complex analysis and modelling, making brave recommendations to inform and challenge business operations, performance and improvement. You will be someone who is always looking to simplify and improve existing processes and ways of working. You’ll be performance and value focused, while being adaptable and prepared to try new things to find new opportunities. SENIOR COMMERCIAL ANALYST x 1

Working in Customers within EDF UK, you’ll be contributing to Helping Britain Achieve Net Zero and help EDF become a leading player in each of the four markets they operate in – Wholesale Markets, Residential and SME, Industrial & Commercial and Field Services. They act with efficiency and resilience in a very competitive and ever evolving market. The successful Returner will join the the EDF Business Solutions Sales and Marketing team, whose ambition is to Help British Businesses and the Public Sector achieve Net Zero. They do this through offering zero carbon electricity supply, power purchase agreements (PPAs), innovative metering solutions and much more.

The Senior Commercial Analyst will become part of the Margin Reporting team or the Value and Product team within EDF Business Solutions. These teams play a key role in ensuring the success of EDF Business Solutions. Margin Reporting You will help guide the EDF Business Solutions sales teams towards the delivery of their key targets through understanding and reporting on EDF’s performance levels relative to forecasts, and using the insight derived from these performance levels to help guide focus of both the supply contract and PPA sales teams. You’ll likely specialise in one of the key sales channels, using your analytical skills and relationships with the sales team to understand latest performance trends in the segment and deliver meaningful insights on how to improve performance and maximise value. Day to day, you will be responsible for building and running a sales forecasting process to cover all business segments within EDF Business Solutions and setting our targets in EDF Business Solution’s medium term planning process. You will also own the creation and delivery of regular performance reporting, including analysis and regular presentation of insights to your senior sales channel stakeholders. You will be responsible for mapping key commercial risks to delivery against targets, and suggestions for potential action plans for managing these risks. Value and Product You will deliver robust analysis to identify and qualify opportunities to increase value in the short to medium term. You will also monitor the key risks faced by EDF Business Solution’s business and drive the work required to balance this risk. Day to day, you will analyse, recommend and implement opportunities to add value to EDF Business Solution’s portfolio, in respect of the parts of the market we target and the optimisation of current contracts. You will understand, map and monitor aspects of the risk of EDF Business Solution’s portfolio, recommending and then delivering appropriate actions to balance this risk. As part of the role you will also lead work streams/projects to provide analysis of potential alternate business models and portfolio strategies to inform the appropriate direction for EDF Business Solutions going forward. What do I need to be great at this role? · The successful returner will have past strong commercial and analytical skills to effectively forecast and report on EDF Business Solution’s performance and seek out commercial opportunities from complex analysis. · You will have the ability to form rational insights from your analysis. · You will work collaboratively with teams across EDF Business Solutions and therefore require strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills. · You will be willing and able to challenge the way things are done and suggest improvements. · You will also be committed to health, safety, wellbeing and the environment, and carry out your role in a manner that enables us to be a sustainable business – financially, environmentally and socially.
