Our client operates at the heart of the UK and Irish media industry, auditing and certifying the circulation figures of newspaper and magazine brands, as well as companies involved in digital ad trading – allowing £billions worth of advertising to be traded with confidence each year. Clients include well known magazine, newspaper and television media owners, advertising agencies, and a variety of companies who provide services to the industry.
Their role is to verify that media owners and advertisers comply with a range of self-regulatory standards in the media industry.
This role is very varied and holds the following responsibilities:
According to the needs of the business, undertake audit work in a range of specialisms, including:
Circulation – print and digital circulation of newspapers & magazines
Online traffic – data reported by websites, apps and digital publications.
Digital advertising – codes of best practice in brand safety, ad fraud, and targeted advertising
Digital TV – reporting of programme viewing data, and verifying advertising delivery processes
Complete all audits to defined quality standards and time budgets
Maintain good internal communication with other staff, ensuring there is a client-centred approach on all issues of importance
Provide a professional level of service for clients, during the planning, conduct and completion of audits
Contribute to the development of standards and audit methodologies
Promote the benefits of membership to clients and associates

Full training will be provided, so recruitment will focus on evaluating your competency as an auditor and understanding your adaptability to learn specialisms.
Our client is open to applications from people with a varying levels of experience, but would consider the following to be the most useful and relevant sorts of experience for the type of work they do:
Assurance reporting e.g., ISAE 3000
Internal auditing, including CIA qualification
Evaluating systems risks and controls
Media and advertising industry
The role is a permanent part-time or full-time position seeking a minimum of 25 hrs/wk in a flexible pattern that can be mutually agreed. The role can be fulfilled primarily from home, but attendance at the clients’ offices in Berkhamsted will be required for some types of work, training and team meetings. Occasionally you may be required to work at clients’ premises, most of which are in or around London. A salary of up to £40k FTE* is available depending on experience.
