Doodle Productions, a growing company in the field of children’s media and
entertainment, are recruiting for a Finance & Operations Administrator to join their
growing business. Reporting and working closely with the finance, marketing and
operational team, the Finance & Operations Administrator will be a highly motivated,
self-starter with an eye for detail.
Doodle Productions produces the TV show, Messy Goes to OKIDO, OKIDO
magazine and a range of digital learning resources for children aged 3-7. The
founders created OKIDO in 2007 to produce a high quality, eco-friendly,
gender-neutral, science and arts magazine for children, and the publications have
since received multiple awards.
It’s an exciting time to join, as Season 3 of the TV series Messy Goes to OKIDO is
about to launch, and we have a growing and highly engaged subscriber base.

Duties for this position include:

Finance / Bookkeeping:
– Accounts payable and receivables
– Processing bi-monthly payment runs
– Monthly influencer commission payments
– Using Xero to maintain accurate records and produce reports
– Liaising with customers and suppliers
– Management of payment gateways (Stripe and Paypal)
– Quarterly VAT returns
– Bank reconciliations
– Preparing finance reports weekly, monthly and annual reports as
required
– Provide support to Marketing on administering the Marketing Budget

Operations:
– Support Subscriptions and Operations Manager as required
– Subscriber and payment migrations
– Customer service support
– Mailhouse liaison as required
– Support Operations Manager in running dispatch and keeping accurate
customer records.

Skills and qualifications:
– Minimum 3 years bookkeeping experience
– AAT qualified or equivalent
– Experience in Xero (or similar)
– Working knowledge of the Google suite of applications, particularly g-docs
– Ideally experience in Shopify (or similar)
– Ideally experience working on a D2C subscription business
