What we’re looking for…

We’re growing fast and thousands of families need our service. However, childcare decisions aren’t easy and it’s your job to nurture, nudge and remind families that we are here when they need us.

We have a really clear idea of what this role is about, but we want you to bring your own ideas and experience to bring it to life.

Here’s your mission, should you choose to accept it…

  • Get underneath the user journey, immerse yourself in our rich insights and find the moments when families are left in the dark
  • You’ll ruthlessly prioritise, use data to validate assumptions, make quick decisions and take action to build communications that enhance the user experience
  • Be clear on your hypothesis, measure, track and continuously learn
  • Work collaboratively with other teams on joint goals, sharing your insights with product teams to drive the Koru Kids growth agenda forward. We’ve got a shiny new email platform called Customer.io so you’ll be able to have a huge impact independently too
  • You’ll be a major voice of our product so you’ll show a huge commitment to our tone of voice and care in your communications
  • You’ll raise the bar when it comes to quality, making words and communications beautiful every time

Ideally we’d like…

  • 3-5 years of excellence in marketing roles
  • Previous success in setting up early customer retention programmes and campaigns
  • Worked in a start-up or scale up environment
  • Experience using email marketing tools (Customer.io is a bonus)

Important things to know…

Timing: We’d like to have the right person join in January but we can wait a little longer if we need to.

Flexibility: The role can be done flexibly. It can also be part time if you like, although in that case you are likely to need to have highly relevant experience as you’ll have less time to learn things from scratch. We welcome parents and would love to discuss any other working arrangements that make it possible for you to be part of our team.

Salary: The salary range for this role is £40,000-55,000, depending on experience. This is because the less relevant experience you have, the more support you’ll need, which we’ll need to also pay for. If you’re part-time, this will be pro-rated. We also have some awesome benefits — parents, among these is the ability to have a Koru Kids nanny for half price! (please note, we are currently only in London, with likely expansion in 2021).

Location: You can do this role from anywhere in the UK and earn the same salary as you would if you were in London (where we are based). We welcome applications from people living outside London. Outside the UK is more complicated as it has tax and other implications, so we are unlikely to hire someone living outside the UK.

Koru Kids is building the world’s best childcare service, starting in London. We believe that every family should have the perfect childcare for their family to flourish.

We’re growing like crazy, are backed by fantastic investors, including top venture capitalists and business angels such as Michael Pennington the founder of Gumtree, and have won a ton of awards for our technology, people and social impact.

We have always promoted flexible working and are currently working remotely but we will have the option of an office space to work from next year.
