Our client is a hospice charity specialising in palliative care for those with life limiting illness

Be responsible for generating the voluntary income required to deliver our exceptional care and support services.
Provide strong and effective management of people and performance; driving growth of income in line with objectives and ensuring the effective implementation of agreed performance targets.
Drive continuous improvement in the quality of supporter care and developing partnerships with all key stakeholders.

● Lead on the growth and development of fundraising income to support the future aspirations of the hospice
● Develop and deliver effective performance monitoring reports on fundraising activity as and when required
● Grow future total fundraising net income in line with agreed targets
● Prepare, manage and monitor the annual fundraising budget
● Lead the development and implementation of a fundraising strategy that supports the aspirations of the hospice
● Lead regular team, one to one meetings and fundraising staff appraisals when and where appropriate
● Ensure ongoing training and development of staff, recognising strong performance and addressing weaknesses to ensure all targets are delivered
● Work closely with our Communications team to raise the profile of the hospice within the local community
● To meet with and provide key donors and other stakeholders with a range of information to support philanthropic giving
● Provide regular updates to the Director of Income & Operations and wider Trustee board on the legacy income process and any issues which may occur in the legacy pipeline.

Qualifications, skills, experience and knowledge:

Essential Experience working in a fundraising environment at a senior level.
Higher education in business related subjects – i.e. management.
Fundraising qualification
Proficient in the use of Raiser’s Edge
Experience of supporting strategic planning and able to contribute to organisational change and development.
Solutions focused with evidence of innovative and transformational thinking.
Experience of reviewing and analysing performance and financial information including preparing and monitoring of budget.
Able to manage complex workloads and meet requirements, including those from regulatory bodies, and knowledge of GDPR practices.
Experience of managing or supervising employees and the ability to lead, motivate and manage teams in an empowering way.
Skilled communicator and negotiator at all levels.
Experience of working with volunteers.
