Dedicated to driving their design & digital transformation agenda, they now have a unique opportunity to scale and grow their culture and capability and are now looking for a Head of Digital Talent to support them in their growth plan.

The Role

As an ambassador for the business, you will look for opportunities to network and create value for people in the digital community everywhere, helping them attract the best talent out there.
Driving their selection practices, building an employer brand, developing a pipeline of engaged talent and expanding their team.
A key area of focus will be on bringing hiring in-house. You’ll look at optimising touch points, including job boards and advertising. Helping to reduce reliance on agency recruiters and to become more self-reliant.
Work directly with other leaders in the business to advance the business strategy and go to market. With their people-centricity and entrepreneurial attitude, they will look to compete with and disrupt how agency recruitment operates.

Work with the operations and people team to champion excellence and change in well-being, social, sustainability and diversity, equity and inclusion areas.

Attracting the Best Talent out there

Help hire a more diverse team and help with advertising practices and forward-thinking recruitment practices.
Help write job specs using inclusive language.
Communicate as a storyteller at an exceptional level.
Have experience and understanding across the diversity of roles they hire, from user research to user experience, to visual design to DevOps and platform services to full stack engineer to database admin, ML, and AI engineering.
Determine the best and most cost-effective use of online job boards, negotiate with talent agencies and manage supplier relationships and renewals.
Work with hiring managers to carry out innovative attraction, assessment and selection activities and ensure the end-to-end candidate experience is exceptional.
Help, support and guide their nascent efforts in graduate & apprentice recruitment, as well as be comfortable recruiting across Director, Head, Lead, Senior, and Mid-levels.
Nurture their significant network of past employees and subcontractors.
Experience in near-shore hiring and helping form that capability is desirable.

Talent management

Shape the talent acquisition approach, providing hands-on recruitment.
Keep up to date with current talent trends through industry.
Build relationships in the business, so you understand and can best represent resourcing and recruitment needs.
Work with the hiring managers to build the employer brand, using testimonials, videos and blogs from the team to give a flavour of what it’s like to be a part of the team.
Explore leveraging social media as a recruitment platform.
Work with the broader Leadership team to identify when people are ready to progress or when they can promote from within first and support that journey.
Support the onboarding process and pre-employment checks for everyone who’s joining.

Evaluation, monitoring and metrics

Working closely with the Head of People, you’ll devise a centre of excellence in recruitment and talent development.
Develop OKRs for your area of business.
Look at how to use data and visualise work to improve work constantly.
Provide insight that shows the reward and benefits packages stack up in the market and make any recommendations to ensure they are competing to attract the best talent out there.

The Candidate

You’ll have experience working as a recruiter and know how to use online job boards, social media and other recruitment platforms.
Friendly, approachable and personable, with a collaborative approach to working
You’ll be a voice for the team, so you need strong verbal and written English and communication skills.
You need to have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent digital skills in spreadsheets and tooling (nice to have.)
You’ll need to show that you can plan against loose requirements or early-stage briefs, prioritise work and manage time well.
