HR Advisor/Manager, Global Tech Firm, 6 mth FTC (potential to go perm), Full-time (open to reduced hours), Farnborough/Hybrid, £35k-£55k FTE* DOE.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast growing global tech firm. This interim 6 month FTC requires an experienced HR professional to hit the ground running, bring structure to core HR operational processes, with the potential to work on a variety of projects over the longer term.

The Client

This is an interim 6 month contract for a fast-growth global tech company with 85 plus staff in 4 offices located in the UK, US, Canada and Asia. You will be working closely with the People Director. This is a fantastic opportunity to join at a time of growth, with the potential for the role to become permanent for the right person.

The Role

The client is open to applications from HR Advisor level to HR Manager level and will provide appropriate support depending on the experience of the individual. However, the immediate focus will be on global HR compliance / administration and employee relations (supported by the People Director), with a focus on specific projects.

Specific projects for the fixed term will include;

Updating all the HR records on the HR system
Finessing the onboarding and offboarding processes including training for all managers
Working closely with talent acquisition to bring in quality candidates
Reviewing, upgrading and introducing new policies and the employee handbook
Working on the introduction of a performance framework with the People Director
Finessing of sickness reporting and management of pay reductions where necessary
GDPR/DSE training and assessment
Supporting on the organisation restructure
People Strategy

Over time, there will be other areas for the HR Advisor / Manager to provide support or lead depending on experience ad timeframe in the job. These may include; to develop/implement policies and change programmes to support the People Strategy, including: Recruitment and selection, L&D, talent management and succession planning, coaching and mentoring, pay and reward, performance framework and career development plans, wellbeing, advise and guide on organisational change and development initiatives, employee engagement, employee benefits scheme, salary benchmarking.

The Candidate

The client is looking for someone with energy, flexibility, a can do attitude, completer finisher and attention to detail/accuracy.
Proven generalist HR experience as Snr HR Advisor/HR Lead or other HR Executive; global knowledge an advantage
CIPD min level 5 accredited
People oriented and results driven
Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics, analysis skills
Knowledge of HR systems – experience of implementing a new system preferred
Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
Experience of change management and Organisational design work
Able to operate and collaborate effectively in a fast paced and time pressured business environment
Able to report effectively in writing and verbally on the performance and progress of the HR function, with data and statistical analysis as required
Knowledge and experience of working with payroll teams and system
Keen to learn, proactive work ethic, with a “how can I add value” disposition
The Terms

Initial 6 month fixed term contract with the potential to extend or go permanent for the right person.
This is a hybrid role with min 3 days per week in the office in Farnborough.
Ideally full time although the client is open to some reduced hours as long as the successful candidate can work these across 5 days.
Salary between £35k FTE* to £55k FTE* depending on experience.
