We’re a close team! So although this is a self-employed role, you’ll benefit from the backing of the team to bounce issues off, get support from and learn from the combined knowledge of the team.

About you

You’ll be comfortable working in a HR generalist and operational environment and be able to prioritise effectively with an unflappable nature. We’re working hard at our efficiency’s to ensure we offer a gold-standard service to our clients so you’ll always be looking to streamline and simplify and you value and respect the benefit of using online tools, templates and centralised data storage to make team working easy.

Our clients are small businesses (because they’re not yet ready to hire in-house) so you’ll have a background in supporting small to medium sized organisations and be adept at tackling the challenges that presents and creating advice and solutions tailored to that audience.

The work can be fast-paced, we support multiple clients and switching between their different needs and ensuring that deadlines are adhered will be critical to your success, as such you’ll be looking for a flexible and varied opportunity.

You’ll be able to work quickly, responding to different team members throughout the working week and be true to your word. If you say it’s going to be done, it will be done when you say it will be. Integrity to deadlines is incredibly important to who you are and how you work.

Role Summary and Description

The HR Operations team provides operational support to the team and direct to our clients to make sure that proactive and strategic HR support can be delivered to the gold standard we work to at Manor Resources. They understand  the HR structure of all Manor Resources clients and can answer functional queries for all clients as well as offering our commercially branded advice and guidance on any HR issue that you’d expect to cross the desk of a generalist HR professional.

Areas that you’d be expected to work on:

– Managing HR processes within the employee lifecycle such as redundancy and disciplinary.

– Policy and procedure amendments, proofreading and creation.

– Point of contact with clients’ for issuing paperwork and maintaining records (sickness, holiday etc.)

– Sector research on relevant topics such as benefits, salary packages etc.

– Being the knowledge expert on the future of HR

– Manage the client onboarding process inc. Offer and contract generation.

– Running resourcing campaigns inc. CV reviews and shortlisting.

– Support and guiding clients with the appraisal cycle.

– Supporting with the paperwork trail across the entire HR lifecycle.

– Undertaking calculations such as holiday.

– Manage and inform team on the HR Calendar in advance to allow for strategic planning.

Success Criteria / Outcomes

– All documents created with correct formatting and grammatically correct

– All documents created with correct information

– Always working with efficiency and commercialism in mind

– Demonstrates support which is aligned with the Manor Resources brand

– Client requests answered and responded to within 48 hours

– Client file versions stored for all parties to easily find

Functional Skills and Experience

– Experience working in HR in SME(s)

– Experienced with use of 0365 (not just Word and PowerPoint!)

– Experience working with HR systems e.g., BreatheHR, PeopleHR, CharlieHR.

– Experience with spotting patterns in data and behaviours

– Constant attention on HR compliancy

– Excellent at written English and a great communicator

Hours: 12-15 hours a week

Up to around 60 hours a month

Flexible hours – work when you want but some traditional working hours would be required for team collaboration –  Remote working
