Are you an experienced HR generalist looking for an exciting role in a growing SME? If you are an experienced Senior HR advisor/business partner role, comfortable managing all aspects of HR, this would be an interesting part-time and hybrid role.

Overview

Over the past 20 years, our client has evolved to become one of the most well-respected providers of luxury cars in the UK. They provide hire and replacement cars to chauffeur businesses, manufacturers, dealerships and insurance companies. The business is continuing to grow and is now looking for an experienced HR Manager to join their small team.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Human Resources management. From ownership and management of the HR system, recruitment and resource planning, to supporting managers with all HR issues, driving performance in all teams, to ongoing policy setting and H&S management. The areas specifically covered are as follows.

-Support team managers in all aspects of HR management from staff welfare, training and development and performing management. Ensuring that a consistent approach is adopted across all teams and locations.
-Responsibility for Company payroll, liaising with external providers to ensure accurate and timely processing.
-Ownership of the HR system including employee training, system development and ensuring that HR records are updated in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with data security policy.
-Updating of all aspects of HR policy in line with changes in legislation and market trends.
-Management of all recruitment activity in conjunction with line managers (including liaison with recruitment partners), staff on-boarding, induction and exit processes.
-Working with the senior leadership team to make a meaningful contribution to the company vision and business goals, acting as a trusted adviser to leaders.
-Effective management of HR team member.
-Developing and overseeing remuneration and reward packages and processes.
-Reporting on people data and analysing information about areas such as staff turnover and absence, making suggestions for improvements where necessary.
-Supporting and facilitating the advancement of a vibrant company culture and appealing Employer Brand
-Managing internal employee related communications
-Implementing staff surveys to enable data driven decisions to improve satisfaction levels.
-Support the Directors in the management of the health and safety policy, and risk management. This includes staff communication and training, liaison with external advisors and relevant authorities.

The Candidate

Requirements – Technical

-Ideally, you'll be Associate CIPD qualified (or part qualified) or equivalent.
-Minimum of three years’ HR generalist experience in a Senior HR advisor/business partner role or equivalent.
-Previous experience of payroll processing would be preferred.
-Excellent systems skills including HR software and all Microsoft Office Applications.

-Experience gained in an SME environment is desirable.

Hours and location

-This is a hybrid role near Elstree with the option for remote working approximately 50% of the time (although it would be preferable to work in the office more in the first few weeks).
-There will be a requirement to visit other office locations in the UK from time to time.
-24-30 hours per week, worked as 3 full days or across 4 or 5 days.

*Full time equivalent – actual salary will depend on hours worked
