We are hiring a London Sales Manager who will primarily focus on growing our UK on-trade sales channel, working closely with our main distributor. The role’s key focus is developing new business opportunities and relationships, as well as maintaining strong existing sales relationships within the UK on trade, in-line with overall sales and brand strategy.

Key responsibilities:

• Motivating and maintaining positive, effective relationships with the distributor’s team. Maintaining constant open & positive communication.

• Responsible for meeting sales targets and KPI’s within the specified channels through a process of business development, account development & effective account management.

• Relationship management of our direct trade sales accounts and management of order process, dispatch, and invoicing.

• Researching and keeping informed around new business development opportunities, new business openings, market trends within the specified channels

• Co-ordination of order fulfilment and Invoice management for all direct trade relationships that sit outside of Bibendum.

• Budget responsibility, where appropriate.

• Attending trade & consumer events, virtually or physically as our ambassador

• Trade event management (organizing and hosting) and supporting consumer events when suitable.

• Working with the Hospitality Manager to coordinate trade hospitality for trade customers to support the enhancement of the brand perception of the brand.

• Training our trade clients staff

• Maintaining an industry-leading standard for communication and interaction with customers

• Working collaboratively across teams to co-operate on key ethical, sustainable, social, environmental, and legal initiatives.

• Working as a team member with all areas of the team

Experience and knowledge required:

• Outstanding sales experience with demonstrable understanding of the London on trade market and successful track record of business development

• High level of wine knowledge with drive to acquire specific expertise of ESW to establish credibility with customers and consumers

• Knowledge of sparkling wine category, specifically in a commercial context of competitors from English and other sparkling wines.

• Experience of hosting tastings and other customer events

• Knowledge and understanding of the challenges facing the wine industry at present and illustrate a knowledge of the operational attention to detail that will be required to succeed.

• Competent IT user
