Are you a .Net Developer with a passion for working on projects designed to make the world a better place? Are you looking for a role with extreme flexibility, a great team and clients who are driven by the causes they believe in? This could be a unique opportunity to join a great, growing business.
Our Client has been a completely remoted based business since starting in 2015. They have no office. They are a small, distributed team of specialist web developers who value, support and mentor each other. While they do work hard, they also acknowledge that a healthy, balanced life is a requirement, not an optional extra.
They collaborate, explore, educate, discuss, discover and invent alongside their clients, building applications that enable them to thrive, develop new approaches, and play their part in creating a better world. They provide tenacious spirit and development expertise to create the best, most equitable, solutions possible, delivered with honesty, integrity and transparency. They focus on their clients’ purpose and the impact they are aiming to have, not on their own egos or trendy technology for its own sake. They do all of this with passion, joy and a spirit of fun.
Their commitment to value beyond profit is more than just talk, for example they are currently waiting for their BCorp certification to be confirmed.
They run on self-management principles. This does not mean a completely flat hierarchy, any group of humans will have leaders. It does mean that they all input into how the company is run and everyone is invited to get involved and take on the level of responsibility that suits each of them. It also means that leadership is much more fluid than in a traditional company hierarchy.
They provide a lot of support and coaching to help you thrive in this environment and thus to do great work. Although it can be challenging, it is incredibly rewarding to be part of.
You will be an important member of the distributed development team. You will be working extremely closely with amazing, long term clients and be involved in all aspects of projects including requirements gathering, contributing to architectural decisions, planning and prioritisation and throughout the development process.
You will be working remotely as part of a small team of 10 spread across Scotland, England, several other countries across Europe and beyond. The role is highly flexible and would require a minimum of 2.5 days (equiv.) per week, but could be up to full time. A salary of c£30K FTE is available, depending on experience. In addition to;
Unlimited holidays; It’s not just a throw-away phrase nor does it mean taking less holidays. For permanent roles the minimum is 28 days annually and, so long as the work gets done, they encourage as much other time away as possible.
This role is remote, much of the time you can work from anywhere – well almost – anywhere within 2 hours of the UK time-zone. They are more interested in results than micromanaging which means they are very happy to talk about flexibility in your working hours. Some of the team enjoy a very structured day, others flex their work around family commitments.
Twice each year (well, in non-pandemic years) they meet-up for up to a week to work together. Recent locations have included Morocco, Madeira, Bulgaria and Scotland. As well as being really useful it is a lot of fun.
