3 days per week / Mondays in the office + flexibility for two days split across rest of week

The main function of this role will be to help us to ensure we are following best practice around our finance administration processes, to help ensure we can work more efficiently as we grow as a business. We are open minded about the role expanding to include other responsibilities, including fieldwork management and social media engagement. What you’ll be doing

Administering project financial tasks
– Raising invoices and liaising with clients to ensure timely payment
– Maintain accurate records and reporting to accountant
– Organise client contracts
– Creating and issuing purchase orders to suppliers
– Paying supplier invoices

Ensuring accurate flow of business financials
– Reporting and liaising with accountant on business expenses
– Tracking business spend against budget
– Process Corporation Tax, National Insurance and VAT payments to HMRC
– Process payroll, holiday requests

Company culture and social value
– Assist in making The Good Side a “B Corp” – an ethical and sustainable verification
– Ensuring we implement, track and report on our B Corp goals, ensuring we have a
positive environmental and social impact
– Planning and organising social events and internal cultural moments including training,
Culture Club, regular monthly team cultural outings, Christmas and summer socials.

Operational support
– Organise client contracts
– Work with Head of Studio in designing processes to improve ways of working
– Overseeing 10,000 Black Interns programme candidate recruitment
– Organising research and film participant consent
– Implementing GDPR measures (training can be provided)
– Assisting HR administration
– Overseeing IT equipment leasing, tracking purchase and allocation of IT equipment

Rental and communication with building manager and cleaning contractor
– Maintaining stationary and office supplies

Desired experience
– Working in an operational and financial supporting role
– Experience working across multiple currencies with global suppliers and clients

Working conditions and benefits
– We work a minimum of 60% of the week at our Hackney offices, with 40% remote working acceptable
