Our Client

Our client has more than 30 years’ combined experience assisting clients of all shapes and sizes across the UK and internationally. They have expertise covering every corner of the health insurance and workplace benefits market.
The business is growing, and they are now looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join their friendly team.

The Role

The role of Bookkeeper is to manage the day-to-day financial transactions in the business and help improve the day-to-day financial processes.

Responsibilities include but are not exclusive to:

• Input of financial information in Xero
• Xero monthly reconciliations
• Monthly revenue & expenditure tracking
• Insurer monthly commission reconciliation & chasing outstanding commission
• Employee monthly Commission reconciliation and quarterly statements
• Introducers monthly commission reconciliation and quarterly statements
• Monthly Revenue mapping and forecasting tool
• Support with year-end information and end of year management reporting & forecasting
• Keep track of aged debtors and chase if necessary

The Candidate

To be successful in this role you’ll:
• Have bookkeeper experience (qualified or QBE)
• Ideally have experience of using Xero (or similar)
• Be level-headed with strong attention to detail
• Good Microsoft office skills (in particular excel)
• Excellent attention to detail
• Have a desire for continuous improvement

Terms

This is a permanent, part-time role seeking around 15-20 hours per week. This is open to discussion for the right candidate. The role is mainly office based in Central Brighton in order to strengthen the team dynamic and to allow each department to function smoothly. There is some parking on-site and easy access via public transport.

Office hours 9am-5pm Mon-Fri (the role may be spread over the week)
