Our Client

Our award-winning client is a small business and consumer market research company in London. They work with a range of different clients in a number of sectors including PR, technology, and the built environment giving a vibrant working environment full of different ideas and challenges daily.

They currently have 18 team members, and are looking for another fantastic individual to join them. As a small and growing business, you will have the opportunity to sink your teeth into a variety of tasks.

The Role

The Compliance and Office Manager role is a varied, part time role, with flexibility around the hours that you work. You will be joining the Finance, Compliance and HR department (a small friendly group of two). As the organization is small, you won’t be siloed and will have the benefit of working in the larger team when in the office.

The role is very varied, and includes regular and ad hoc activities.

The role will include:

Compliance and legal:Taking ownership of the compliance and legal activities in the business. e.g. Managing the health and safety policy and induction.Managing GDPR and data privacy requirements.Reviewing contracts and Terms and Conditions (with support from a solicitor when required).
HR:Dealing with light-touch HR tasks.e.g. Helping to onboard new starters.Updating and creating policies as and when required, with help from our HR consultant.Managing records and regular checkups (such as DSE checks, health screening etc.)
Finance: Helping with some light-touch finance tasks.e.g. Confirming invoices have been received by customers.Helping to chase debtors.
Office management: Sharing the office management responsibilities. e.g. Keeping the office tidy, clean and organised, managing the waste and recycling and ordering any extra supplies
PA assistance: Providing a light-touch personal assistance role to Directors. e.g. Helping the Directors to manage diaries.Booking travel and accommodation.
Ad hoc tasks and holiday cover: Covering other ad hoc tasks when team members are away, such as helping to arrange meeting rooms, office lunches, social activities.
The Candidate

The role is suited to someone who…

Has experience of managing GDPR and data protection requirements
Experience of understanding legal documents such as contracts and terms and conditions
Excellent communication skills both internally and with clients and suppliers
Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel
Has a high level of attention to detail
Is trustworthy and reliable
Has an ambitious growth mindset
Has experience of managing data privacy and GDPR requirements
Has a can-do attitude and is happy to get stuck into anything
Enjoys celebrating success with a team
Is aligned with the company values; fast, friendly, forthright and flexible
Terms

This part-time role can be spread over three full days or four shorter days (hours to be discussed). Working days would ideally be Monday and Thursday, plus others to suit the successful candidate. (Standard working week is 37.5 hrs).

Approximately 60% of the working week is expected to be in the London office, near to Borough Market, with Thursday being one of those days.

A salary of up to £42.5k fte* (£25.5k actual) is on offer for this role depending on experience. A lovely range of benefits are also on offer (some pro-rated):
