Our Client
Our Gerrards Cross based client is an international business, offering a fully comprehensive service from inception to completion of healthcare service development solutions, thereby ensuring the shortest time for delivery and also minimising the risk of delays and cost increases.
The Role
The role requires someone to proactively support the information technology (IT) team with the group end user needs, maintaining the support desk and all IT software & hardware. Working in a team environment reporting directly to the IT Manager. The main responsibility of the role will be to act as the first point of technical escalation to troubleshoot and resolve the more technical issues raised by group end users.
Specific Duties:
• Responsible as the first point of technical escalation to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues raised by group end users by providing hardware, software, and system support
• Support the UK and overseas offices (some travel may be required)
• Hardware support including PCs, laptops, printers
• Install, commission and troubleshoot PCs, laptops and printers
• Apply windows updates and PC security patching
• Create and maintain documentation including tech notes and SOPs
• Microsoft Office and/or GSuite support
• M365 administration inc Exchange Online, SharePoint and Teams
• GSuite administration
• Administer system backups via Veeam and/or Symantec Backup Exec
• Anti-Virus system admin and deployment inc encryption
• Support of voice/ video communication e.g., Teams, Webex, Zoom
• Mobile Device management inc setup and support
• Wireless LAN troubleshooting
• Windows Server 2016/2019 administration
• Maintain the task list is accurate and up to date
• Communicate status and risks to IT Manager
• Operate to company policies, procedures and standards
The Candidate
Our client is looking for a candidate with proven work experience in supporting hardware and software within a growing business with remote based users. Attention to detail, approachable and professional, dedicated, flexible and a natural problem solver.
The Terms
This role is being offered on a part time basis, based on 25 hours per week over 5 days. The client would like the position to be office based and will compensate for parking in addition to the up to £35K FTE salary. A pension plan is available as well as 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays.
*Full time equivalent – actual salary will depend on final hours agreed.
