Our Client
Our client is a friendly Accountancy practice based in Tring, servicing hundreds of clients across Herts, Beds, Bucks and further afield. Due to continued growth they are looking for a new team member, part or fully qualified, to work part-time with flexible hours.
The Role
The role is very varied including:
Preparation of limited company accounts to meet statutory deadlines
Preparation of sole trader and partnership accounts
Preparation and review of bookkeeping and VAT Returns
Dealing with client queries
Liaising with HMRC as required
Supervising junior members of staff
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will:
Be part-qualified ACCA or ACA to final exams or qualified
Have relevant Practice experience
Have demonstrable experience and working knowledge of bookkeeping, management accounts, and finance processes
Have experience of preparing Statutory Financial Statements (including required reconciliations and all notes to the accounts), ensuring compliance with GAAP accounting standards and policies and the requirements of the Companies Act.
Knowledgeable in using a variety of accounting software ideally Sage, QuickBooks, Xero and Excel
Be an enthusiastic and motivated worker who enjoys working as part of a small team
Be an excellent communicator who enjoys and excels at building and maintaining client relationships and is able to grow the business through referrals.
Resourceful and independent worker with strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to suggest improvements to internal processes.
Proven ability to prioritise work and meet multiple filing deadlines
Experience of providing supervision and on the job training for more junior team members.
Terms
The role is seeking someone for a minimum of 3 days per week or equivalent (more hours will be considered) worked in a pattern to suit both sides. The role is based in the company’s offices in Tring, Herts. A competitive salary is on offer, depending on experience.
