This successful and growing accountancy practice near Tonbridge provide a full range of services to small and medium-sized businesses. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, proactive and hard-working part time Payroll Administrator to join their busy team. This position is suited to a highly-motivated self-starter who is excited at the prospect of managing payroll for numerous clients, whilst supporting a high growth business.
With the Payroll Manager, you will work on a portfolio of approximately 200 clients providing an end-to-end payroll service. The client base is primarily made up of small limited companies. Client payrolls vary in size and frequency, with both monthly and weekly payrolls. Your responsibilities will include:
-Setting up payrolls for new clients;
-Liaising with clients to obtain monthly payroll data (starters, leavers, salary adjustments, etc);
-Calculating holiday pay, SMP, SSP, SPP;
-Calculating furlough claims (and potentially similar government job support schemes);
-Entering payroll data into BrightPay and processing payrolls for all clients;
-Submitting RTI reports to HMRC;
-Issuing payslips to employees and a breakdown summary to each client;
-Ensuring the weekly and monthly submissions of auto-enrolment pensions;
-Liaising with pension scheme providers to ensure all client pension arrangements are in order;
-Dealing with enquiries from both clients and their employees.
-Experience of end-to-end payroll processing, ideally for multiple payrolls in a payroll bureau or accountancy practice setting (minimum 2 years);
-Proficient in a payroll software (BrightPay preferred but not essential);
-Experience of Excel (essential);
-Experience of pensions (essential);
-Experience of furlough (preferred)
-Excellent attention to detail;
-A can-do attitude and a good work ethic;
-Highly organised with the ability to work to deadlines and juggle the demands of multiple clients;
-Excellent English language and communication skills (verbal and written); and
-Friendly and approachable manner, with the ability to build relationships with clients.
Salary and Benefits:

Hours and location
-This is an office based position near Tonbridge. The role will be office based immediately, however there are social distancing practices in place.
-Minimum 20 hours per week (with an awareness that payroll deadlines may determine when these hours are worked) or up to full-time. If looking for part-time, please indicate your preferred working pattern on application.
