Our award winning and flex-friendly client are looking for an Account Executive to join their corporate and commercial team on a part to full time basis.

Our Client

Our client is a well-established and highly respected PR company with 50 talented team members and a multitude of awards. Based in London they have an enviable client list.

Due to growth and changes within the organisation, they are currently seeking a passionate and energetic Account Exec to help deliver across their growing corporate media and consumer PR portfolio.

The Role

Monitoring key media and reviewing media coverage (task shared between all staff)

Researching relevant information and data for clients

Compiling press lists and selling in to local, regional and trade media, as well as consumer media including design and lifestyle titles.
Implementing elements of communications and consultation strategies such as media campaigns, stakeholder engagement programmes, construction communication programmes and planning public consultations
Preparing first drafts of materials as required – e.g. press notices, newsletters, key messages,
target audience lists, event programmes, consultation materials
Being a key member of the team responsible for managing and enhancing media relationships for the agency and clients
Delivering social media campaigns; planning content and running Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts on behalf of clients
Arranging media and influencer events, including dedicated campaign events, site tours and 1-2-1 briefings
Arranging and attending client meetings and minuting them as required
Attending and participating in team meetings and training to develop own knowledge and skills
Networking with contacts within the industry and growing your own contact base
Supporting the rest of the team.
The Candidate

Ideally the successful candidate would have at least one year’s experience at an agency or in-house environment. However, the client is also open to seeing candidates with a real passion and drive for London and who want to see change happen within their local communities. Key attributes:

A background in media relations or communications, leaning towards corporate, consumer and lifestyle media
Client experience across any or all of the following sectors: property, development, placemaking, lifestyle, regeneration or sport.
Knowledge across traditional and influencer PR with a network across media outlets
Understanding of issues management – strength in understanding and communicating complex issues to different audiences
Very good organisational abilities – to manage a range of tasks for different clients and meet deadlines
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
Clear thinker with an ability to condense complex issues into clear and concise messages
Confident media operator, able to pick the phone up to journalists and get coverage
Straight talker both with colleagues and clients
Excellent organisational / administrative abilities to be able to manage a varied workload
Ability to work effectively in a small, tightly knit organisation and thrive in such an environment, including at times working by yourself
Able to juggle multiple priorities and good time management
A sense of perspective, enabling you to appreciate – and effectively communicate with – people with all sorts of personal, cultural, religious and political backgrounds
A desire to learn and develop within an organisation
Hands on approach to work (likes to get hands dirty) and happy to go above and beyond
Good people skills
Attention to detail
Happy in a small team environment
Good IT and presentational skills

This exciting role is available on either a part-time or full-time basis (min 3 days/wk or equivalent). There is a competitive salary of up to £30K FTE on offer plus benefits, a generous bonus scheme and 25 days leave. The role will be a mix of Covid-safe office based in London WC1 (post lock-down) and remote depending on candidate preference. Normal hours of work are 9.00am- 5.30pm.
