Our mission lead not for profit client has a growing presence in the world of travel and tourism. Keen to maintain the progress they are making in their digital marketing function, they have a maternity cover contract available on a part time, flexible and remote basis.

The Role
Our client is looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Digital Marketing professional to spearhead digital marketing campaigns designed to enhance brand awareness, attract new fans, and drive revenue growth. Overseeing owned and paid media advertising across digital channels, the ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of digital media, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple campaigns concurrently. This role is pivotal in crafting and executing marketing strategies aimed at acquiring, engaging, retaining customers, and contributing to the overall impact of our clients global brand.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and manage delivery of our content calendar in collaboration with our global network and local network and impact team based on trends and data, inclusive of always-on and seasonal tactics.
• Build and implement paid media strategies in alignment with our clients marketing objectives, encompassing a variety of digital channels, including, but not limited to search, PPC, metasearch, social media, display, programmatic, email and video platforms, and other emerging channels and promotional platforms as needed.
• Proficient in using Google Tag Manager (including setting up new event tags and implementing code on WordPress sites) and using Google Analytics for reporting on user journeys and KPIs.
• Cultivate strategic alliances with internal stakeholders to drive cohesion between paid campaigns and broader marketing initiatives, fostering a culture of collaboration and partnership.
• Conduct extensive research and competitive analysis to identify target audiences, optimal advertising channels, and keywords.
• Manage and co-ordinate the website content using WordPress & Elementor including copywriting, modifying pages, uploading imagery, and improving the user experience.
• Manage and optimize campaigns, including bid management, audience targeting, creative testing and open rate to build brand awareness and drive interest in our clients Brand.
• Own & develop the email marketing strategy, including audience growth and segmentation, lifecycle and monthly promotional emails, content and design, deliverability, optimization and compliance with regulations.
• Continuously optimize performance marketing campaigns across multiple digital channels, leveraging data-driven insights and A/B testing to enhance effectiveness.
• Facilitate and co-ordinate the delivery of appropriate brand assets to the global network and ensure compelling content and ad creative with consistent branding & messaging across digital channels.
• Provide data analytics and monthly KPI reports to management.
• Work closely with other internal departments and third-party agencies.
• Support the Brand & Digital Transformation Team on any other tasks required by the manager.

The Candidate
The role would ideally suit someone who is confident, team-spirited and highly organised with excellent attention to detail. Willingness and enthusiasm are essential to this position as is the ability to work and think independently and make informed recommendations.
• Digital marketing and social media experience.
• Excellent understanding of SEO, PPC, Google ads, social media campaigns, affiliate marketing.
• Proficient with Microsoft office, Canva Pro, Google analytics, WordPress, and photo editing software.
• Ability to work remotely. Must be living in the UK, with permission to work in the UK.
• Experience in intelligence; reporting, tracking and analysing data.
• Experience working in a digital environment and optimising the digital customer journey.

Desirable Criteria:
• Experience working in multicultural environments.
• Experience working in the tourism/hospitality industry.
• Understanding of youth hostels and sustainable tourism.
• Well-travelled and interested in intercultural communication.

The Terms
This is a maternity cover contract which is envisaged will last from August 2024 to June 2025 – however may be extended.
• £32k – £35k per annum, FTE, depending on experience.
• 23 days annual leave, FTE, excluding bank holidays.
