The Role

They are currently seeking a Researcher to join their Cardiff Team.

The Cardiff team specialise in the appointment of world-class leaders, board members and non-executive directors within both public and private organisations. Roles the Cardiff team have handled include The Permanent Secretary (CEO) of Welsh Government, CEO of Principality Building Society plus Chairs and Senior Leaders of a variety of other public, private and academic organisations.

The role of Researcher is required to identify, approach, and assess candidates for the high-profile executive, non-executive & board appointments they work on, for their clients.


Candidate Generation & Attraction

Work with Consultants, Principals and Partners to identify appropriate target firms and construct the search strategy to be undertaken
Utilise their in-house CRM system, LinkedIn, external databases, social media, sourcing calls and the Internet to source suitable candidates and market intelligence for each assignment whilst continuously expanding your network
Actively head-hunt candidates, conducting initial screening calls
Assess and qualify candidates to ensure they are fit for interview by the Consultant, Principal or Partner
Provide feedback internally with Consultants, Principals or Partners, and externally to their client on the search progress, market intelligence and details of candidates. Articulately outline relevant experience, motivations, and reasons why you think they may be suitable for the role
With every contact made, promote their reputation through effective candidate care which consistently promotes, protects their reputation

Assignment Support

Where appropriate, attending client briefings and contribute to the search strategy
Prepare weekly client progress reports, illustrating the assignment landscape and adapting/amending as the assignment develops
Provide feedback on market reaction to an assignment, the perception of the client and any other pertinent information gained
Adhere to best practice, ensuring all required candidate information is kept accurate
Actively encourage a diverse talent agenda and shortlist.

About You

Whilst prior experience in such a role will be advantageous, you will be supported with training and development to succeed, therefore you may be a career researcher, or someone looking for a career switch, or returning to the workplace and have suitable transferable skills and experience. You'll also be;

Bilingual: fluent Welsh/English (essential)
