About the role

Based in Central London, our client is an accountancy firm with a range of SME and owner managed business clients, most of whom are in the creative sectors including fashion, design, PR and production. The firm does a variety of work, from standard services such as accounts and tax returns, through to providing outsourced finance departments and finance direction for clients’ businesses.

Due to the nature of the business, it is essential that the candidate has a minimum of 1 years’ recent experience within an accountancy practice to be successful for this role.

The successful candidate will be able to mould their own role, choosing office or remote working with occasional office meetings in Central London as they prefer, their own title (within reason), and how they structure their days.  The contractual working hours can be agreed at between 28 and 35 hours over a minimum of four days per week.

About you

  • A relevant qualification – ACA or FCA / ACCA or FCCA
  • Sufficient post qualification experience
  • At least 1 years’ experience within a small to medium sized accountancy practice and that the experience includes producing accounts for owner managed businesses
  • Excellent working and current knowledge of FRS & both small company and personal tax legislation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to confidently and independently manage client relationships
  • Willingness to continuously develop relevant skills and knowledge
  • First-rate IT skills including the ability to learn new software as needed, systems include:
    • Essential Microsoft Office Suite with high proficiency in Excel
    • Essential strong working knowledge of Xero
    • Desirable experience of Taxcalc or similar accounts and tax return production software

Salary:

From £65,000 to £85,000 per annum, subject to qualifications and experience
