JOB TITLE: Visitor Services Manager
HOURS: Part time, 26.25 hours per week (0.7 FTE)
SALARY: £30,000 per annum pro rata (£21,000 per annum based on 0.7 FTE)
LOCATION: London, NW3
REPORTING TO: Head of Visitor Services
LINE MANAGEMENT: Ushers & Front of House Volunteers
ANNUAL LEAVE: 28 days (including Bank Holidays) pro rata + Jewish Holidays that fall on working days
At JW3, our mission is to increase the quality, variety and volume of Jewish conversation in London and beyond. We seek to achieve this by offering multiple entry points into Jewish life, culture and community for the widest possible range of people, and programming outstanding events, activities, classes and courses – the diversity of which reflects the diversity of our community.
We receive over 200,000 visits each year to our purpose-built centre that houses a Cinema, Restaurant, Bar, Café, Nursery, and over a dozen spaces where a year-round programme of over 6,000 activities takes place, including adult education, language classes, theatre, music performances, youth programmes, after-school activities, food & drink workshops and demonstrations, parties, ‘big name’ talks and debates, films, family programmes and more.
We are an inclusive cross-communal space, where everyone is welcome – Jewish and non-Jewish – and this is also reflected in our staff team!
Our Visitor Services team is the first point of contact that visitors have with JW3 and this brand new role as Visitor Services Manager will form a key part of this team.
They will be responsible for supporting the team in creating and embodying a warm, welcoming, and open space, providing visitors with a sense of belonging and community. Manage and support ushers and front of house volunteers and they will also act as a secondary department lead in the absence of the Head of Visitor Services.
