The Role
Reporting to the CEO (with support from a fractional Finance Director), you’ll take ownership of the finance function, ensuring robust reporting, strong controls and valuable financial insight.
Key responsibilities include:
Producing monthly management accounts with commentary and analysis
Leading budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management
Supporting strategic decision-making through financial insight
Ensuring compliance, financial controls and governance (including charity SORP)
Preparing year-end accounts and managing the audit process
Acting as the internal lead for Xero
Supporting non-finance teams with financial understanding
This is a varied, hands-on role with real influence in a small, high-performing team.
About You
Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role
Strong management accounting and reporting experience
Confident using Xero
Experience preparing year-end accounts and managing audits
Ideally, experience in a charity or not-for-profit environment
You’ll be proactive, organised and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
What’s on Offer
20 hours per week (flexible working pattern)
Mainly remote with occasional London meetings
c.£40,000 FTE (c.£21,600 actual salary)
25 days holiday (pro rata) + pension
