The Marketing Lead is responsible for generating qualified demand and early-stage pipelinem through inbound marketing, campaigns, events, partnerships, and brand visibility. The role plays a key part in driving sustainable business growth through strong positioning, audience engagement, and effective demand generation.

This is an exciting opportunity for somebody who wants real ownership in a growing organisation – shaping and leading the end-to-end marketing agenda across strategy, brand, content, campaigns, partnerships, and sales enablement.

Working closely with the Commercial Lead, who owns opportunity progression and conversion to revenue, this role acts as a strategic marketing partner to the Client & Commercial Director and Leadership Team – translating business priorities into visibility, engagement, and commercial opportunity.

Combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, the role offers significant scope to shape how the People Untapped brand grows and evolves.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Marketing strategy

  • Develop and own the marketing strategy, aligned to business goals
  • Build annual and quarterly marketing plans, priorities and budgets
  • Translate marketing strategy into integrated execution plans with the Brand Experience

Lead

  • Define target sectors, buyer personas and use cases
  • Track performance and ROI across different activities
  • Shape programme and service positioning to strengthen market relevance and demand generation

2. Digital marketing & channels

  • Own and optimise digital marketing channels to drive audience growth, engagement, and inbound lead generation, including: o website performance and SEO fundamentals o campaign and landing page execution o email marketing campaigns, event promotion, and nurture communications o LinkedIn channel strategy and campaigns
  • Plan, manage, and evaluate paid activity, including LinkedIn advertising and sponsored content · Monitor campaign performance and optimise activity through reporting, analytics, and insight
  • Drive lead generation through targeted campaigns, content distribution, and audience engagement activity

3. Events, Community & Partnerships

  • Activate and manage strategic L&D partnerships through marketing activity (e.g. Talent & Leadership Club)
  • Plan and deliver client and partner events, including webinars, roundtables and community activity
  • Own event promotion, registration, and lead capture · Generate engagement and early-stage relationships, handing over long-term ownership to the Commercial Lead
  • Create integrated marketing campaigns in collaboration with Brand Experience Lead

4. Marketing Content, Operations & Reporting

  • · Partner with the Brand Experience Lead to develop marketing and sales enablement materials, including campaign assets, presentations, case studies, and supporting content
  • · Own the distribution and operational delivery of marketing content across channels
  • · Work within the CRM framework led by the Commercial Lead (e.g. Folk) to support effective campaign tracking, lead management, and reporting, including:
    • top-of-funnel data hygiene and segmentation
    • campaign and lead performance tracking
    • marketing reporting and insight generation
  • Produce regular reporting on campaign, event, and partnership performance, including engagement, pipeline contribution, and ROI
  • Use insight and performance data to continuously improve marketing effectiveness 5.Governance, compliance & standards
  • Ensure marketing activity complies with UK GDPR and relevant data/privacy regulations
  • Manage consent, mailing lists, and data handling processes
  • Support the Leadership Team with marketing-related terms, disclaimers, and IP usage Success snapshot:

Experience & capability

  • Strong B2B marketing experience, ideally within L&D, consulting, professional services, or other relationship-led environments
  • Experience leading end-to-end marketing strategy and delivery
  • Proven experience driving demand generation, brand visibility, and audience growth
  • Confidence partnering with senior leaders and contributing at both strategic and operational levels
  • Experience supporting sales enablement and longer consultative sales cycles
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, purpose-led environment where adaptability,

Terms:

  • Permanent contract
  • Hours spread over 2 days per week – variable and flexible hours which may include very occasional evening working (e.g., if we have a client or partnership event)
  • Location – Work from home, with occasional meetings in/around Esher, Surrey, or London.
  • Laptop, screen, and IT equipment provided
  • £40,000–£50,000 FTE depending on experience, plus pension contributions and pro-rata holiday entitlement
