Are you an experienced HR Business Partner looking for a senior-level role that gives you genuine influence — but with a part-time working pattern?

This could be an excellent opportunity to join an established and successful UK business with a large workforce and a well-established HR function.

The organisation is looking for an experienced HRBP to provide trusted, commercially-minded HR support across designated areas of the business. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and managers, helping them navigate people challenges while ensuring HR activity supports wider business objectives.

This is a genuine HR Business Partner role, combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. It would suit someone who enjoys being close to the business, building strong relationships and making a tangible difference.

The Role

Working as part of an established HR team, you’ll partner with senior stakeholders and managers to understand their priorities and translate them into effective people solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing strategic HR Business Partnering support across designated areas of the organisation
Advising senior leaders and managers on organisational effectiveness, workforce planning and succession planning
Supporting organisational change, transformation and restructuring initiatives
Leading complex employee relations cases and ensuring consistent application of HR policies and UK employment legislation
Coaching managers on employee relations and people-related issues
Supporting employee engagement activity, including surveys, pulse checks and action planning
Using HR data, reporting and insight to identify trends and support better decision-making
Developing and improving HR dashboards, reports and metrics
Encouraging effective manager self-service through HR systems, tools and guidance
Supporting HR policy development and strategic HR projects
Supporting recruitment for key roles, audits, reporting and compliance activity
Deputising for Senior HR Business Partners when required
You’ll also have the opportunity to influence HR processes and contribute to workforce planning and organisational design.

About You

We’re looking for an experienced HR Business Partner who is confident operating at both a strategic and operational level.

You’ll need:

Solid HR Business Partner experience
Strong knowledge of UK employment law
Experience handling complex employee relations matters
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
Experience using HR data and reporting to generate meaningful, actionable insight
The ability to build credibility with senior leaders and managers
Experience working with HR systems and HRIS
Good working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or another complex operational environment would be advantageous, as would experience of organisational design, change initiatives, HR analytics/dashboard development and coaching managers.
A degree-level qualification or equivalent and CIPD membership are required.

The Flexibility

The role requires 23.25 hours per week, worked over either 3 or 4 days, depending on your preference and what works best for the business.

Fridays are not required, giving you the potential for a particularly useful four-day working week with a long weekend.

Initially a 12 month fixed term contract, there is the expectation that the role will go perm.
This is an office-based role, so you’ll need to be comfortable working onsite and able to drive. There is plenty of free onsite parking.

What’s on offer?

Up to £55,000 FTE, pro rata for part-time hours
9% non-contributory pension scheme
Life assurance at 4x salary
Healthcare Cash Plan, including dental, optical and physiotherapy reimbursements
Gym membership discounts
24/7 online GP appointments and counselling
25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, pro rata
Opportunity to purchase an additional week of annual leave each year
Subsidised onsite canteen
Plenty of free onsite parking
The opportunity to make a genuine impact within an established and successful organisation
