Our client is a forward-thinking firm of Chartered Accountants, committed to delivering excellence across every aspect of their business.
The Role
This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive Client Accountant to work within the accounts team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues, communicating directly with clients and has experience dealing with accounting systems and software.
As a qualified accountant, you’ll be involved in:
• Maintaining and managing accurate financial records (principally on Xero)
• Liaising with clients to resolve queries throughout the year
• Preparing annual financial statements and tax returns
• Preparing self-assessment tax returns
• Supporting the Partners and Managers in client service
• Payroll and VAT
• Collaborating across the team to deliver services to the mixed client portfolio
The Candidate
• Experience working in a professional practice
• Professional qualifications – AAT (L4), ACCA (would consider part qual) or ACA
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Accounting Platforms: Xero, Iris Accounts Production (desired)
• Other Tools: Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel
