We are looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic, and experienced Event Management Lead with a ‘hands on’ attitude, to join and support the BQF team to support the smooth running of the Events Programme.

Purpose of the Role
The Events Management Lead is responsible for the planning and delivery of a portfolio of events and member engagement activities, including the end-to-end management of both virtual and face to face events, including the UK Excellence Awards.
The role supports the growth and retention of the membership community through relationship management, communications and programme delivery, while working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the successful delivery of the awards programme.

Key responsibilities
• Plan and deliver an annual programme of events, including both virtual and face-to-face formats.
• Mange the end-to-end event lifecycle, from initial concept and planning through to delivery and post-event evaluation.
• Co-ordinate logistics including venues, virtual platforms, speakers and event schedules.
• Oversee delegate management including invitations, registrations and attendee communications
• Manage event budgets and ensure delivery within agreed financial parameters
• Co-ordinate communications and stakeholder involvement to ensure high-quality experiences
• Work with internal teams and external partners to deliver impactful, well-organised events
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to plan and deliver key elements of the UK Excellence Awards programme
• Manage and support relationships with existing and new members
• Represent the organisation at meetings, events and networking opportunities

Person Specification
• Experience in Event Management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Works flexibly within the 15 hour working week to support event schedules, with mandatory attendance at the Monday morning team meeting
