Help build the evidence that could transform how the NHS approaches stress, anxiety, chronic pain and emotional wellbeing.
This is a rare opportunity to build an entire research, data and AI function from the ground up—from study design and governance to an AI-enabled evidence platform capable of generating real-world evidence at scale.
Working directly with the Founder, you’ll shape the evidence base that could influence future NHS approaches to prevention, self-management and recovery. Fully remote, part-time and ideal for someone who wants to combine scientific rigour with innovation and real-world impact.
About The Mind-Body Healing Project
The Mind-Body Healing Project is a newly launched charity with an ambitious mission: to make evidence-based mind-body approaches, particularly EFT tapping, accessible within mainstream UK healthcare.
We’re already developing partnerships with NHS Trusts, researchers and health charities, with pilot programmes planned later this year. Our ambition is to build one of the UK’s leading research programmes exploring how mind-body interventions can improve health outcomes.
How the role will work
Funding is expected around October 2026, when this becomes a paid part-time role (approximately three days per week). Until then, we’re looking for someone willing to contribute around 1–2 hours per week in an advisory capacity. All time will be recorded and paid retrospectively once funding is secured.
It’s an unusual proposition—but for the right person, an exceptional opportunity to help build something with national impact from day one.
What you’ll be doing
Initially (1-2 hours/week)
In the pre-funding phase, the day-to-day work will sit with the Founder, with the successful candidate providing guidance, challenge, and expertise to help establish strong foundations for the charity’s research and data function.
Once funded (approximately 3 days/week)
About you
Your background might include healthcare research, epidemiology, public health, psychology, biomedical science, health informatics, data science or a related discipline.
No prior knowledge of EFT is required. We’re looking for someone with excellent research and data expertise who is excited by building robust evidence with curiosity, scientific integrity and an open mind.
You’ll ideally have experience in several of the following:
Most importantly, you’ll be excited by the opportunity to build something that doesn’t yet exist, creating a modern, AI-enabled research capability that could influence healthcare practice for years to come.
Interested?
If you’re excited by the opportunity to build a world-class research capability from the ground up—and generate evidence that could shape the future of UK healthcare—we’d love to hear from you. Please include a cover letter (maximum one page) explaining why this opportunity excites you and how your experience would help shape the charity’s research and data capability.
