They have built a collaborative, people-focused culture centred around curiosity, continuous improvement, psychological safety and personal growth, and are now looking for an Operations Analyst to join the team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys analytical problem-solving, working with data, improving processes and understanding how businesses operate behind the scenes. Whilst the role begins with ownership of key operational processes, there is significant opportunity to become involved in process improvement, automation projects and business analysis as the role evolves.

Reporting to the Trading Product Manager, you will take ownership of a range of operational processes that are fundamental to the smooth running of the business.

  • Liaising with brokers, vendors and third-party providers to resolve issues
  • Working closely with engineering and operational teams to improve systems and processes
  • Identifying opportunities to automate and improve workflows
  • Acting as a key link between business users and technical teams, helping translate requirements into practical solutions

About You

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership
  • A collaborative mindset and desire to work as part of a close-knit team

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within financial services, trading operations or middle/back office environments
  • VBA or Excel macro experience
  • Experience working with Bloomberg or Reuters
  • Experience supporting operational or analytical processes
  • Understanding of derivatives trading and/or trade lifecycle management
  • Exposure to Agile, Scrum or Kanban methodologies

Working Pattern

  • Hybrid working
    • 7:30am–3:30pm (Monday to Friday) – 1-2 days a week in the Chiswick office.

Benefits

  • £45,000 salary
  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • 39 days annual leave
  • Pension contribution
  • Professional coaching support
  • Physical wellbeing allowance
  • Support towards professional qualifications and certifications
  • Personal development opportunities

  • Inclusive and collaborative culture

Who Might This Role Suit?

This role could be a great fit for:

  • A returner looking to re-establish their career after a break, particularly if you have previous experience in operations, finance, business analysis, project support or financial services.
  • An Operations Analyst looking to broaden their exposure and develop business analysis and process improvement skills.
  • A Business Analyst or Project Coordinator who enjoys working with data, processes and stakeholders in a hands-on environment.
  • Someone from a middle office, back office, trade support or financial operations background seeking a more varied role in a smaller, collaborative business.
  • An analytical problem-solver who enjoys understanding how systems, processes and businesses work and wants to contribute beyond their job description.

The Culture

Our client believes that the best ideas can come from anywhere and actively encourages diversity of thought, continuous learning and personal growth.

We welcome applications from returners and candidates with non-linear career paths. We’re interested in analytical, curious individuals who can demonstrate the skills and mindset to succeed, regardless of whether their experience comes from commodities trading or another sector.

This role would suit someone who enjoys process, problem-solving and continuous improvement, and who is excited by the opportunity to grow into broader business analysis and process improvement responsibilities over time.

If you’re intellectually curious, analytical and looking to join a values-driven organisation where your ideas and contribution will genuinely matter, we’d love to hear from you.
