A growing national children’s charity is looking for an experienced relationship builder to become its first dedicated Fundraiser and Partnership Lead, helping to build the corporate partnerships and relationships that will fund the next stage of its growth.
This could be a brilliant opportunity for someone from fundraising, corporate partnerships, business development or sales who knows how to build strong relationships, open doors and turn conversations into long-term commercial partnerships.
Working directly with the Founder and CEO, you’ll take ownership of developing a sustainable pipeline of corporate partners, building relationships with CSR, ESG and Social Value leads, identifying Charity of the Year and sponsorship opportunities, and developing relationships with philanthropists and professional advisors.
You don’t necessarily need to come from the charity sector. What’s important is that you’re commercially minded, confident engaging senior stakeholders, comfortable developing new relationships and able to turn opportunities into tangible results.
This is a hands-on role within a small, ambitious charity, with plenty of autonomy and the opportunity to shape its fundraising and partnerships function from the ground up.
Our client is a growing national children’s charity built on one belief: no child should carry their life in a bin bag.
A child enters the care system in the UK every 15 minutes, and one in ten will move home at least three times in their first year alone — often with their belongings stuffed into whatever bin bag is to hand, or with nothing but the clothes they stand in.
The charity gives children and young people entering, moving within, or leaving care a bag of their own instead: a proper backpack, filled with clothing, toiletries and comfort items, packed with the message that they are valued.
This is a permanent, part-time role working 22.5 hours a week. The role is hybrid, with the charity’s office based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, and there will be some travel across England and Wales to meet partners and attend events
Salary: £38,000–£48,000 full-time equivalent (£23,000–£29,000 actual, pro rata for 3 days a week)
Closing date: 18 September. Interviews will take place end of Sept to mid Oct.
