BQF: PR, Marketing & Communications Lead – 15 hours per week, £20 per hour – Remote working

We are looking for a highly organised, enthusiastic, experienced PR, Marketing & Communications Lead with a hands-on attitude to join and support the BQF team.
Purpose of the Role
The PR, Marketing & Communications Lead is responsible for raising the profile of the organisation and the Excellence Awards Programme through effective communications, marketing, and public relations. This role enhances visibility, drives engagement across key audiences, and ensures members and programme participants receive a high-quality experience. It also supports organisational growth, strengthens stakeholder relationships, and contributes to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and deliver PR, marketing, and communication plans to promote the organisation and the Excellence Awards Programme.
• Produce high-quality, engaging content for digital channels, newsletters, press releases, case studies, and campaigns, while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
• Build and nurture relationships with media, partners, and sector influencers.
• Promote organisational initiatives, events, and achievements across key platforms.
• Monitor and report on communications and campaign performance, using insights to improve activity.
• Lead communications and engagement activities for the Excellence Awards Programme, ensuring applicants, assessors and partners receive clear and supportive information.
• Responsibility for the ongoing management/updating, development and optimisation of the BQF website.
• Support promotional campaigns to attract new participants and members.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to plan and deliver key elements of the UK Excellence Awards programme.
• Manage and support relationships with existing and new members.
• Represent the organisation at meetings, events, and networking opportunities.
Person Specification
• Experience in PR, marketing, and communications.
• Ability to create engaging content for different audiences and channels.
• Experience using digital platforms for marketing and communications activity, such as social media scheduling tools, email marketing systems, CRM platforms or website content management systems.
• Ability to produce graphics and visual content using AI design tools
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
